The Living Century: The Extraordinary Lives of Ordinary People is an award-winning, inspirational television series that tells the stories of the past 100 years by the people who lived them. Today's centenarians are the living links to our past. Their recollections add flavor and meaning to recorded history. These living treasures have a unique perspective on the evolution of the modern world. There will never be a generation that has experienced such enormous change during a lifetime as the centenarians alive today.

Emmy® and Academy Award® winning actor Jack Lemmon hosted the first episodes of this series, his last on-screen appearance. Barbra Streisand's Barwood Films, along with our distinguished advisory board, helped to make this a first-rate television experience.

Each episode features an individual 100 years of age or older who help us discover our collective past from their personal experiences. Their memories, their unique perceptions of the world and the radical changes they witnessed during their lifetimes come alive through personal interviews, photographs, archival footage and an original musical score.
