What is it that draws millions of humans every year to seek out contact with dolphins and whales? What are we looking for? What are we hoping to discover about these gentle and curious beings and about ourselves?

WHALE TALES is a unique television series that features first-person accounts of close contact between humans and marine mammals such as dolphins, whales and porpoises, and attempts to answer some of these questions. Something powerful happens when a dolphin or whale looks you right in the eye. What could they be thinking and feeling in that moment? What are they capable of thinking and feeling with their enormous bodies and their huge brains? Many people from all over the world claim that they have been physically, emotionally and spiritually affected while being in close contact with dolphins and whales. There is increasing scientific evidence that close contact between humans and dolphins either produces or greatly influences physical, emotional and neurological healing effects in humans. For some reason, human lives can be positively changed by interaction with these mysterious and inquisitive beings.

WHALE TALES examines the current relationship between humans and whales, and explores how these personal and intimate encounters have deeply affected the lives of those involved and how they help to shape the future of our relationship.
